I’m Ismael, a student from Madrid, Spain and I am doing an internship in Berlin at the Berlink agency. I will love to tell you about my experience:
Arriving in Berlin was exciting but also scary. A lot of questions popped into my mind – Am I going to be able to adapt? What if I don’t know how to do something? What about my team work? How I am going to be able to communicate when I don’t speak German? I asked myself those questions while I was struggling to carry the three pieces of luggage, I had brought with me. Then, when I ordered an Uber, it turned out I have to go to another terminal at the airport to catch it and on top of that – I had to take an elevator, which was broken. So, my first day was a difficult one.
Then, during the next days I had the chance to explore the city. I booked a tour and it was awesome. Everything that I expected from the city was accomplished, it was perfect. The different cultures, the monuments, the diversity of people and their ethnical and cultural backgrounds … I might say – I love Berlin.
Afterwards, I met my team for the next two and half months in Berlink and I started working at the office. They were so great to me, I will be always grateful for welcoming me in their working atmosphere – they are the best! Doing the city tours and exploring the city, visiting many places during the cultural visits with the groups, the perfect ambient in the office, our lunch break, our coffee time… Those are moments, that I will always remember.
Thanks to them too, I’m learning many different languages as well: German, Italian, Polish … and last but not least – I am putting into practice what I learned in school. I am so grateful!
So, if you are going to Berlin, make sure you give us a visit at Berlink too! See you!
