Last groups of 2018, last meeting, last photos of the project participants with certificates … this 2018 is coming to an end in half an hour, work-related speaking, and while our Training Tutor Marta goes on, inexhaustible as usual, with the last final meeting, memories and moments, that have made this time special, are floating back to us.

We welcomed new colleagues that made our team full of smiles and resources: our Editor in Chief Polina, thanks to whom the Magazine is alive, “Kleine Marta”, which can be considered everything but small and Silvia, who takes care of our students and of ourselves, too!

We had to deal with students from 11 different countries that wanted to deepen their knowledge in the field of their studies, while having an internship in 33 different professional sectors – from IT to Logistic to Tourism and Mechanics. Throughout this year we had 626 students, 89 accompanying teachers, 63 beneficiaries of professional visits and seminars, 8 monitoring and 8 preparatory visits. We worked with 131 host companies and around 40 host families, that made our foreign students a part of the German life and work culture. The Hostels, new and old providers, helpful and trustworthy teachers and a bunch of people like ourselves in Berlink, that have fun while making Europe a concrete reality and let the pupils have an experience that can definitely change their perspectives.

During this time we travelled all around Berlin for professional and cultural visits, taking every possible means of transportation and even getting lost with the students sometimes. Earlier this month we flew to Italy for our annual Meeting in December to meet all of our other colleagues from the other European agencies and to share new ideas, projects and visions. We promised to visit the cities, where we were invited to from our project participants … so the list can go on, and on, and on. We prepared thousands of documents, we took even more photos than our iCloud can handle and we tried to let everyone feel at home, learning some basic words in so many different languages.

After such an intense year, we are ready to enjoy the holidays and “recharge our batteries”, because 2019 awaits with new challenges, groups and emotions. As awesome as 2018 is/was, we hope we will still be sharing the Erasmus+ experiences together with students from all over the European Union.

Till then, thank you everybody for the support, collaboration, encouragement, nice reviews and funny moments you shared with us. You made our year.
